Mitch Atkins – Bio

Growing up in Anaheim Ca, within viewing distance (from his rooftop) of the fireworks, it was a childhood dream of Mitch’s to work at Disneyland. He ended up spending 28 years with the Disneyland Resort, the last 16 as a Technical Director with Disney Imagineering’s live entertainment division, bringing to life a myriad of projects such as Haunted Mansion Holiday, Electrical Parade, Fantasmic!, Parade of Dreams, Celebrate!, ElecTRONica, Mad T Party, Aladdin and Frozen - Live at the Hyperion. He also occasionally stepped in as an Entertainment Producer and culminated his time at Disney as Principal Technical Director with the Disneyland Resort. Post Disney, Mitch spent the better part of a year as Director of Entertainment Production at Knott’s Berry Farm.

Throughout all of that, Mitch continued to nurture his love for theatre, spending 25 years as a freelance theatrical Technical Director, as well as another 20 years as co-founder and Artistic Director of Musical Theatre Orange County.

In 2019, Mitch launched his own company “Wonder-Worx” to help friends in the industry create wonder-ful things, like bringing Jurassic dinosaurs, animated figures, and world class parades and shows to life, as well as stirring up a bit of magic himself.
